3. Data Storage
All backups are stored locally on your device unless you choose to upload them to your Google Drive account.
If you enable Google Drive backup:

Backup files are uploaded directly to your own Google Drive account.

The developer does not access, view, analyze, or control any files stored in your Google Drive.

Google’s own privacy policy applies to data stored in Google Drive.
We do NOT collect, store, process, or access your personal data on any developer-controlled servers.
You can delete your backup files at any time:

By deleting files from your device

By deleting files from your Google Drive account

By uninstalling the app (which removes locally stored data)
4. Data Sharing
We do NOT:

Share your data with third parties

Transfer your data to external servers

Use your data for advertising or analytics
All data remains under your control.
5. Permissions Explanation
Simple Backup requests the following permissions strictly for core functionality:

READ_SMS / WRITE_SMS – To back up and restore SMS messages

READ_CONTACTS / WRITE_CONTACTS – To back up and restore contacts

READ_CALL_LOG / WRITE_CALL_LOG – To back up and restore call history

Storage access – To save and read backup files

Google Drive access (optional) – To upload backup files to your Google Drive account
These permissions are used only for backup and restore functionality.
6. Third-Party Services
If you enable Google Drive backup, the app uses Google Drive API services to upload backup files to your own Google Drive account.
No other third-party data sharing services are used.
7. Children’s Privacy
Simple Backup is not directed toward children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
